Sponsored by the Institute for the Study of Global Racial Justice and the Rutgers Research Council. 

The "Healing from Global Anti-Blackness" symposium invites scholars, students, activists, artists, and community members to take part in a full-day event focused on topics including ancestral practices of healing from anti-Blackness, creating spaces and practices of healing rooted in Black experience, and black joy and black futures. This event will include panels, workshops, collaborative art projects, and a final dance reception with a DJ. Lunch and refreshments will be served. The keynote address will be presented by Dr. Brittney Cooper from 5 - 6:15 pm EST.
