How do we sustain the fight for environmental justice without burning out? We start with the body. Join Morena to explore somatic practices as a tool for both political resistance and personal restoration. We’re ditching the script to engage in a collaborative creation set, proving that being present in our bodies is a healing act that can change the world.

Please join us for Grounding the Movement: Somatics as Ecological Activism, a special virtual webinar event, on Wednesday, April 29 from 4:30 - 6:30PM.

Featured Speaker:

Morena Paiva is a Brazilian performing artist, movement educator, and somatic activist dedicated to the intersection of environmental justice and the healing arts. With a background as a massage therapist and dance educator, she integrates corporeality into her work as a poetic and political act. Morena is an experienced collaborator in international programming, community organizing, and cultural exchange. She holds a degree in Dance Teaching from Centro Universitário da Cidade-RJ and a Postgraduate degree in Environmental Education from Universidade Estácio de Sá. Whether in Brazil or abroad, her offerings bridge art, culture, and ecology to foster collective healing.
