In celebration of Black History Month and in collaboration with the Rutgers-Newark Sheila Y. Oliver Center for Politics and Race in America, the Sheila Y. Oliver Civic Association presents a "Fireside Chat: An Intimate Conversation About Politics, Leadership and Forging Your Own Path."

Featuring elected officials Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, Assemblywoman Shavonda Sumter and Essex County Commissioner A'Dorian Murray Thomas. The panel will be moderated by by Professor Hyacinth Miller, Africana Studies/Political Science at the Sheila Y. Oliver Center for Politics and Race in America.
