Join us for a conversation with Dr. Lorgia Garcia-Peña, Professor of Latinx Studies, Effron Center for the Study the Americas and African American Studies at Princeton University.

She will be discussing her two new books, Translating blackness: Latinx Colonialities in Global Perspective (Duke, 2022) and Community as Rebellion: A Syllabus for Surviving Academia as a Woman of Color (Haymarket, 2022). The talk will be 5:30-7:00pm, followed by a brief reception, 7:00-7:30pm. The conversation will be moderated by Dr. Evie Shockley & Dr. Sylvia Chan-Malik, with an introduction by Dr. Ben Sifuentes-Jáuregui.
