From the Campus to the Capitol: RU-N Leaders Rising

Join the Sheila Y. Oliver Center for Politics and Race in America (CPRA), Braven, and the School of Public Affairs and Administration (SPAA) for an event highlighting how Rutgers University–Newark prepares students to serve, lead, and shape public policy at every level.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Hear from Capitol Hill Fellows who served in Congressional offices and learn more about their experiences in Washington, D.C.
- Learn about upcoming fellowships, internships, and leadership opportunities available to Rutgers–Newark students
- Discover how students are becoming more civically engaged across campus and beyond Ask questions and connect with peers who are committed to making an impact through public service.
The event will also include remarks from Rutgers Newark Chancellor Tonya Smith-Jackson.
Whether you are exploring a future in public service or looking for ways to get more involved, this is a great opportunity to hear directly from students and learn how Rutgers–Newark is supporting the next generation of leaders. Food and refreshments will be provided. This event is free, but registration is required. This event is co-sponsored by the Community Media Center at Express Newark.
