Mateen Abbasi

Mateen Abbasi (He/Him) is a Third-Year PharmD Student at Rutgers-New Brunswick. Working as a volunteer EMT, pharmacy intern, and healthcare screening chaperone, he witnessed the direct impact of bedside mannerisms, multilingualism, and patient advocacy, while also witnessing the barriers embedded within the healthcare system. With an interest in tackling the healthcare accessibility crisis, he hopes to spearhead initiatives aimed at elevating patient outcomes for marginalized populations and promote a more inclusive environment within the healthcare space.
