About

Juan Arredondo is a Colombian-American documentary photographer and filmmaker who chronicled human rights, armed and social conflicts in Colombia, Venezuela, and Central America and, most recently, in Ukraine. He is currently at work on a monograph, The Frontera Dispatches, which chronicles the stretch of 2,000 miles of the U.S.-Mexico border looking for cultural and political differences in the United States. Through a blend of portraiture, landscape, and documentary photography, Arredondo's work offers a multifaceted view of life on both sides of the border. He received his master’s degree in journalism from Columbia University and was a Nieman fellow at Harvard University.
