Croix Ellison

CROIX ELLISON is a sophomore at SEBS Rutgers University-New Brunswick studying Environmental Policy, Institutions and Behavior. Croix has a deep interest in Environmental Justice with an emphasis on solutions for climate crisis impacts, as well as the intersections between environmental issues and culture. She is a part of the Douglass Residential College, a member of Voorhees Choir and sits on the eboard of Black Students for Liberation. She was a 2024 Spatial Justice Fellow with the DRC and participated in the Black Ecologies Summer Institute with ISGRJ. In addition, she’s provided support as a research associate at the Council of State Governments' Council on Communities of Color. Croix has long pursued musical interests as an accomplished classical singer winning numerous awards and a National Guild certified pianist. Throughout high school, Croix was a member of the Johns Hopkins University Peabody Preparatory and, in her senior year, she won a prestigious international vocal competition at Carnegie Hall.
