About

Rana is a native New Yorker of Caribbean and African American descent. Growing up in Crown Heights and participating on her high school debate team sparked an interest in marginalized communities and the school to prison pipeline. Having family members afflicted by the penal system, she has a high level of empathy and works for organizations that actively work to hire and support the surrounding communities.
